If you want to keep fan speeds very low to keep the PC basically as quiet and cool as possible, I recommend getting a 360 aio and turning fans way down. If you don't plan to overclock at all or just to dabble in it, the 240 aio should be perfectly fine, temp wise with stock clocks. If you plan on learning to overclock the CPU, considering it's a K skew and is fully unlocked, it can gain you a decent bit of performance overhead vs it's stock speeds.įor that I'd recommend a 360mm aio or at minimum, a 280 because Intel 12th gen (12x00k) runs fairly hot compared to the previous couple of generations, due to it's hybrid design and it's higher power draw.

I would mention though, that a 280 or 360 be swapped in for the 240 as my 12600k at only 5.0 all core maxes out my 240 so the 12700k would definitely be hot with that rad.
